Our Pathways Out Of Hunger Initiative:

6th September 2023

The core purpose of the food bank is to help people overcome a temporary crisis when they are unable to afford food and they’re missing out on regular meals. But our mission does not end there. Working with others, we want to improve the life chances of our clients.

Pathways Out of Hunger was set up in January 2020 with the aim of addressing the issues that were driving our clients into food poverty. We now operate five sessions a week across the Newcastle City region and deal with 60 referral agencies. Through a holistic service and working with a variety of organisations, we provide clients with support on any issues they may be experiencing with the aim of alleviating them out of food poverty.
